Sawadee Phuket! – Day 6
Today would be the last day of our Phuket trip, so we packed up in the morning, leaving only the clothes we were going to wear to the airport. After packing up all our belongings, we also went to the pool one last time, to have an early morning swim, before we changed and said goodbye to the room one last time. We were very pleased with this room, which was spacious and had pool-access, and our only big problem would be the finicky Wi-Fi connection in the room, which limited us to only three devices being connected, and that it wasn’t all that stable in the end. We made our way to the breakfast station, where we ate the hotel buffet breakfast one last time. Although the spread was the same throughout the stay, apart from some minor differences, we didn’t find it to be repetitive or unappealing. In fact, we found it to be one of the better buffet breakfasts in our stays, contrary to the reviews on the internet.
Soon, our airport transfer pickup arrived, and we left for Phuket International Airport, where we checked in our baggage, and headed for lunch. We headed for the Thai Restaraunt after some misunderstandings of the airport signages. Although it was primarily a catering service, we found it to be decent, and we were pleasantly surprised with the airport food.
Later on, we headed for the plane, where we met Ashley’s friend at the airport, who were also ending their trip on the same day, taking the same flight back to Singapore. We bought some sweets and boarded the Boeing 737 back to Singapore.
On the rather uneventful flight back, we pointed out the various landmasses on the climb and descent of the flight. Upon our arrival in Singapore, we picked up our luggage and headed home in a SMRT cab, which actually fit all our luggage in the boot.
Finally, we arrived home, satisfied and happy from our trip, and decided that we should return to Phuket again.
