‘Magic’al Europe – Day 10
Today would be the 10th day on our European Holiday, and it would be a respite from all that walking, as today would be a sea-day, that means no getting off the ship! Naturally, this wouldn’t be a problem for us due to the ship being packed with activities and events for us to experience. First thing in the morning, we headed to Animator’s Palate for a photo-taking opportunity with Elsa and Anna of Frozen.
Afterwards, of course, we headed for our first meal of the day, breakfast! We once again headed to Lumiere’s for our breakfast fare before truly starting our day. We had a selection of the meals available, with me choosing The Big Breakfast, while Ashley had the Mickey’s Special Breakfast Platter, while ZA and SF both had the Express.
After this, we went to spend some time around the ship, where we went to its two shops to look for souvenirs that we could buy for ourselves as well as for cool gifts that we could get to our friends. We also received our prize for participating in the Freezing the Night Away Mini-Game in the form of chocolates and a sticker that we could bring back. During this time, we also had a photo opportunity with the captain of the ship, completing all of this before heading for lunch again in Lumiere’s.
For lunch, we allll decided to have a lighter fare as we were not very hungry. The menu for the day was called “Till we meet again”, and it was to reflect that today would be our final full day aboard the Disney Magic. We had 2 lobster bisques, and for our main course, I had the Veal Schnitzel, while we also had the Trenette Pasta and the Roasted Fillet of Salmon Lakesty.
Afterwards, we headed to play some Bingo onboard the ship. Funnily enough, the chance to win was actually pretty high due to the fact that it was a must-win session, meaning that everyone in the room had a chance of walking home with about $50,000 USD. Unfortunately for us, we didn’t come close to winning, however we still had a lot of fun participating in the Bingo Session.
Soon, it was time for dinner again, this time at Carioca’s where our server, Juan, surprised us again by serving us Banana Bread, which was unavailable anywhere else on the ship. It was simply amazing, and we were able to enjoy the bread once again before we headed off the ship. We had the Sesame Crusted Tuna Sashimi, and the Skagenrora, while for the main course, I had the Beef Wellington, while Pasta was also ordered, similarly, the Lamb Duo.
While for dessert, most of us got the Sweet Temptation, while Ashley had the Celebration Cake, while I had the Baked Allaska.
Finally, we ended the day with a show at the Grand Atrium, and we proceeded to watch the Premier of Cars 3 on the ship as well, a full 3 months ahead of the Singaporean premiere. In the end, I also had the opportunity to finish the day with some Buffalo Wings that I so enjoyed earlier in the trip, which was a good closer on the day. ZA and SF were also supposed to head to a party downstairs, however, there were hardly anyone present so they quickly came back to the room to conclude the day.
