Let The Memories Live Again – Day 6
The next day arrived. Today is the sixth day of our vacation in the United States. We were originally planning to go back to Disney today, to Disney’s California Adventure, but due to us waking up late and taking too long during breakfast, we decided to take it easy today and head out for some shopping. As usual, we loaded up on the breakfast downstairs, which spread hasn’t changed just yet. We then prepared and headed off to The Citadel, one of two shopping places that we wanted to visit, the other being Irvine Spectrum.
We took another drive, 30 minutes from our hotel towards The Citadel. We took some time to find a parking space, and it was quite far from the main entrance. However, a employee there offered to give us a lift to the main entrance in his golf buggy, which was extremely convenient, seeing as we didn’t know where the entrance was exactly in the first place.
Upon entering, we saw a huge Christmas tree, that was apparently the biggest Real Christmas tree in the world. We took some photos and headed off for some shopping. At The Citadel, we found several items that we wanted, namely a handbag for my mom, some T-Shirts for me and some shoes for Ashley. I also found a nice watch for 30$ SGD, which was nice as I was looking to replace my existing watch.
We also had a quick lunch at Panda Express, the Chinese takeout store, which was also surprisingly good. We had some Orange Chicken, Almond Shrimp, Fried Rice and some Fried Noodles. It was good for a quick lunch. We continued shopping afterwards, and it soon became close to dinner time.
For Dinner, we decided to go somewhere close to the hotel, so I can catch up on some writing and to get some rest before more activities come up the next day. We then headed to Lone Star Steakhouse which was also in the same direction as our hotel.
We ordered different kinds of Steak. My mom had the Delmonico, my dad had the Texas Ribeye, and I took the Potterhouse. They were all of various sizes and flavours, and we enjoyed all three of them. Ashley, as usual opted for some Mac N Cheese. The steaks were succulent and well cooked. We found it to be of higher quality than that of Texas Roadhouse, the steakhouse that we visited the last time we visited the United States.
After such a satisfying dinner, we packed up into the car and headed back to the hotel. Tomorrow would be the continuation of a hectic schedule, so I needed to catch up with the writing, and everyone needed the rest that the early return entailed. The activities shall continue the next day.
