Genting Highlands – October 2002
After we settled down from our big move from our first home in Bishan, we decided we needed a mini vacation. What better way to escape the sweltering heat from Singapore than a short getaway to Genting Highlands. It was also a great opportunity for ZA to unleash the power of our Mitsubishi Lancer Mivec.
So, off we go for a 3-day, 2-night stay at the Resort Hotel.
When we arrived at Genting Highlands, we embraced the cool weather that is much needed in Singapore. After dinner, we went to bed early. The next day, we spent some time at the Outdoor Theme Park. As Jarod could not meet the height restriction of most rides, we did not stay for long.
Jarod was much happier when we brought him to the First World Indoor Theme Park. He had so much fun trying out all the kiddy rides. He was also so overwhelmed by the huge video arcade – he played rounds and rounds of racing games.
ZA and I also went to the casino to try our luck. However, we did not like the ambience here. The atmosphere were more friendly at the casinos in Las Vegas and Australia.
We did however, enjoy the time spent together, away from our daily routine.
