Let The Memories Live Again! – Day 24
We awoke today in high spirits. It was Christmas Eve! We headed towards Disney Springs for our breakfast at Wolfgang Puck Express, where we had 2 Classic Breakfasts, a Breakfast Pizza and Omelette with Cheese and Bacon. Wolfgang Puck is one of the best quick service restaurants around, as it is a single credit restaurant that can compete with the bigger table service restaurants. This meal was no exception from the rule, with all our meals being well made and delicious. We had our fill before finally heading off to the Magic
We originally wanted to aim for additional Fastpass availability for the “3 Mountains”, but they were only available at night, as this was a very popular date for visiting Disneyland. However, we took the dates that are at night anyway, with the thought that we would stay longer as this would be our final night in Disney. However, when we actually entered the park, it wasn’t as crowded as we first thought. This was a relief as it was supposed to be one of the most popular and crowded times of the year. We first headed to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, where we were able to skip the queues yet again, and embark on the ride once more. Not much more needs to be said, as we thoroughly enjoy this ride.
Next, we headed to Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas Time Parade, where we were able to catch a glimpse of the parade yet again by sheer luck. We were able to enjoy the parade for once more. Ashley enjoyed the parade very much,
Since it was very crowded when the parade ended, we decided to head to Country Bear Jamboree. This was a show based around robotic bears that go around performing songs that are part of American Song culture in the 1900s. Ashley also enjoyed this show very much, and another bonus was that we were able to fight out the queues of the parade by watching a show, which was always nice.
When watching the show, we got lucky once again and got another fastpass for a 1pm Big Thunder Railroad. This was a ride that we simply couldn’t get enough of, and we were able to ride it again. After the ride however, my mom got stung by a blue insect. We googled for quite awhile, but couldn’t find the culprit. Thankfully, it wasn’t poisonous, so we continued enjoying in Fantasyland. Ashley then decided to have a short break by having her favorite Mac and Cheese at Columbia Harbor House, which was by far her favorite quick service restaurant.
We then headed to Enchanted Tales with Belle, where Ashley roarded really loud for the Beast role, but didn’t get it. She got Ms Pots instead. She enjoyed the role very much, and she left happily.
We then headed to Plaza Ice Cream Parlour, where we had Ice Cream and Starbucks, where we got an Ice Latte and a Black Tea Lemonade. We enjoyed the snack quite alot, even though we already had the ice cream before.
We next headed to the Enchanted Tiki Room, which was similar in concept to the Country Bear’s Jamboree, but with birds instead. I still enjoyed the Country Bear’s Jamboree more than this, even though this was also quite enjoyable. Before we left for dinner, we headed to It’s A Small World for one final ride on it, as well as the Seven Dwarf’s Mine Train. We also wanted to go for another show, Mickey’s Philharmagic, but the show was delayed, and we gave up after waiting for 20 minutes.
We then met with the other family at the Resort Launch and headed to Narcoosee’s. We had Lobster Bisque, 2 Fillet Mignon with Butter Poached Lobster Tail and Strip Steak with Butter Poached Lobster Tail. Ashley had Mickey Mac and Cheese yet again. For Drinks, ZA had a Mango Smoothie and I had a Vanilla Milkshake. While we were enjoying our dinner, which was absolutely fantastic, we had a chance to watch Christmas Wishes (albeit without the huge 360 degree fireworks that I’ve been waiting to see.), as well as the Electrical Water Pageant. This was a good finale for our dinner, as we decided to head once more to the Magic Kingdom.
We finished up our Almond Crusted Cheesecake, Mango Sorbet and Vanilla Ice Cream, and took the boat back towards the Magic Kingdom. We first went to Mickey’s Philharmagic as Ashley wanted to go after our failure to watch it the first time. The show was the same, but better as we were able to get better seats than previous times where we watched the show.
We then headed to Space Mountain, as it was one of the 3 mountains that we needed to conquer, and it’s a ride that I also personally like riding. It was the same, but it felt different, perhaps it’s because you can’t see much inside. The park was really empty at this time, and we took the opportunity to do Splash Mountain, as well as Big Thunder Railroad twice (!), where there was no queue at all. We walked out towards Main Street in an extremely empty park, where we got 2 Black Tea Lemonades and 4 Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookies and 2 Candy Apples before heading back to the hotel.
