Let The Memories Live Again! – Day 17

Today would be our first Hollywood Studio Day. This would be our third official day in Disney! We awoke in the morning, and went straight to Toy Story Midway Mania. However, to our dismay, it was temporarily closed. On the good side, this meant that our Fastpasses would be good for the rest of the day. My dad and Ashley went for the Tower Of Terror ride while my mom and I opted out of it. They got themselves a pretty Hollywood Hotel bell and left. Meanwhile, we got ourselves a carrot cake cookie, one of the main things that we have missed on the previous two times that we have been in Disney. It was much bigger than we expected, and it was pretty tasty to our surprise. We also went into Starring Rolls cafe to admire the cupcakes on offer. They had many Star Wars themed cupcakes and we enjoyed looking at them, even though we didn’t have the opportunity to eat any of them.

Next, we headed towards 50’s Prime Time for our lunch appointment. This would be a return visit, to finally settle the score on which Fried Chicken was better. Disneyland’s or Disney World’s. All of us had fried Chicken except Ashley who had Mac N Cheese instead. The conclusion was that the fried chicken at 50’s Prime Time was ultimately better. The chicken was battered lightly and didn’t feel oily to the touch. The taste was also incredible and we enjoyed it. Another thing that I also enjoyed was the Chocolate and Peanut Butter Milkshake that was a special at that time. It was thick and rich, and it was something that I loved. My parents weren’t fans however.

On our walk out towards the Voyage of the Little Mermaid, we saw Stormtroopers walking around, which was to promote the new Star Wars movie that Disney would be producing, The Force Awakens A.K.A Episode VII. They were very fitting for their roles and they were willing to take photos with guests of the park. Soon, our fastpass time arrived and we entered the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. The show was still the same as ever, but it would be the first time that we would have good seats. We always sat in either the first or second row, which obscured the view slightly. This time, we could see the entire stage, allowing us to see some effects that we would have otherwise missed. This was a good show, and Ashley also enjoyed it.

Next, we headed to Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, which was finally in their own theater. This was a change, since they were at a temporary location the last time we saw the show. This was really different as even the waiting area had Frozen trivia and decorations. This was a much needed improvement to one of Disney’s biggest IPs. The show was generally the same, which is a good thing as the hosts were funny and the characters convincing. Some extra effects like “snow” were added, which was a nice touch. Continuing from Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, we headed to Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. This was a show that broadcasts the workmanship and movie making effects that professional movie makers use. From camera frame rates to amazing stuntman and props, this was surely a spectacle for all to see.

Finally, it was time for Toy Story Midway Mania. This was a ride that we wanted to take since it’s temporary closure earlier in the day. This was the first time that we would take this ride in this trip to Disney this year. This was a 3D Ride that combines impressive visuals, as well as shooting. This was the most popular ride at Disney World, and it was no surprise why it was so crowded. We also got some Glazed Pecans on the way out of the park. This ca,e as a surprise, especially for Ashley who loves the Pecans.

Now, today would be a special day, as it would be the premiere of the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens. We had booked ticket for the premiere, and headed to Disney Springs for the watching of the movie. We redeemed hard tickets at the AMC Theater, before redeeming it for a goodie bag and lanyards. The cast member giving us the merchandise recognised us as he was at Beaches and Cream where we had the Kitchen Sink. It really shows how many roles Disney has to fill.

After that, we headed to The Boathouse for our dinner. This was highly anticipated as it had the Tomahawk that I wanted. Although the Tomahawk and lobster was amazing, what surprised me the most is the Sliders, which were filled with Fillet Mignon patties. They were simply the best sliders that I have ever eaten before. I’ve decided that I wouldn’t eat any other slider, simply because they would simply disappoint me. I left very satisfied, and we soon made our way to AMC Theater, where the screening of the new Star Wars Movie was going to happen.

Unfortunately, as we went late to the theater, it was impossible for us to be seated together except at the 2 front rows, so we split up. The movie was good, but most amazingly it awoke the inner Star Wars fan in Ashley, who enjoyed the movie the most out of all of us.

We headed back to Hollywood Studios, at Star Wars Launch Bay, where we found a X Wing Fighter in the form of a glowing light on a souvenir cup. After that, we enjoyed Symphony in the Stars: A Galactic Spectacular Fireworks Display. This was an amazing fireworks display, where the fireworks were timed to Star Wars music and scores. The show was good and big, but not as grand as Wishes or Illuminations.

It was close to 2am in the morning when we finally went back to the hotel. We had to get some rest before the next day, but we had an amazing time today.
