Let The Memories Live Again! – Day 11
Day 11 of our vacation loomed over. Today would be our first proper day in Las Vegas, and we slept in to 10 in the morning to catch up from the long drive from Los Angeles. For our first agenda of the day, we headed to Caesar’s Palace, not far from The Venetian that we were staying at. This was for our Lunch, at Bucchanal Buffet. This was a buffet that I wanted to go to, and was usually a long queue for, but we lucked out today and only waited 10 minutes or so to get into the restaurant. Inside was a plethora of food of all shapes and sizes.
The buffet spread was huge, with spreads from American to Asian, and they were all tasty. Some of the stand-outs were the Peking Duck, which was better than any Peking Duck I had in Singapore. This was surprising as the best Peking Duck I have eaten came from a Buffet in America, rather than a boutique restaurant in Asia. The buffet also featured dishes from the signature kitchens around Caesar’s Palace, namely one from Gordon Ramsay’s own Pub and Grill. These dishes were extremely delightful and we enjoyed our time there, well worth the money spent for the buffet.
Next, in interest of Ashley, we headed to a nearby Toys R’ Us to pick up some toys for her that were out of stock anywhere else. The drive was a little far, and we felt cheated as there was a closer Toys R’ Us to The Venetian, but we didn’t complain as Ashley got the toys that she wanted and she was happy. She also picked up another one from the shelves as well. This trip made her extremely happy.
We also headed of to a nearby Best Buy, which was a mistake as they didn’t carry anything I was looking for. Instead, we then headed to Fry’s Electronics, which was a major carrier of PC Components and prime location for picking up some components for my personal PC Build. Unfortunately, none of them came under my budget or were worth getting, so I didn’t pick up anything there either.
Driving back to the hotel, we also enjoyed a quick bite at Lobster Me! We picked up a Lobster Roll and A Lobsicle for Ashley, She enjoyed the Lobsicle very much, and we enjoyed the Lobster Roll very much as well. The bread was crisp and the meat tender and moist. The meal was a little pricy, but we didn’t complain as it was enjoyable.
Since we were in the area, we decided to go over to The Mirage to watch the Volcano Eruption show. We had caught a glimpse of it at our hotel, but we wanted a closer view of it, which walking there provided. The flames of the Volcano eruption warmed our cold bodies as the temperatures reached 8 degrees celcius. The show was extremely impressive, and we were glad we could catch this one, as I didn’t have the chance to catch it when I came to Las Vegas 8 years ago.
After this, we went back to our hotel tired and wanted to rest before the next day. My mom had counted that we had 8 things to do tomorrow, and we were braced for another busy day ahead of us in Las Vegas.
