Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is an annual special hard ticket event held in Magic Kingdom since 1983. We’ve purchased the tickets to this party on 17 December 2013. The ticket costs USD 62 for adults and USD 57 for children.
The Magic Kingdom closes to all but the event ticket holders for this holiday party. The magic begins with “snow” falling on Main Street.
Highlights of the party include Mickey’s Once Upon Christmastime Parade featuring Gingerbread Men, Elves, Snowmen, Wooden Soldiers and Santa Claus; Castle Dream Lights; Celebrate The season Show and Holiday Wishes Fireworks. There’s also complimentary Christmas cookies and hot cocoa. some of the most popular attractions are open for your enjoyment. The party begins at 7:00 and ends at midnight. You can normally get into the Magic Kingdom at 4:00 pm with your Party ticket.
In the past years, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party features:
I’ve learnt that you can get Christmas party cards at the Liberty Square Sorcerer’s card stand (located behind the Christmas Store)I think you are entitled to two cards each. You need to have you Park ticket ONLY to receive the cards during the Party. so, it’s a good idea that get that first and check off your list of to-dos.
– Castle Dream Lights at Cinderella’s Castle (9.15pm)
See the castle transformed into a beautiful display of holiday lights right before your eyes!
– Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade (8.15pm and 10.30pm)

The Main Street, USA is one of the best places to watch the parade given the excellent lighting, ambience and magical snow fall. The parade starts off from Frontierland. According to tip we received, a good spot to watch this parade is at the end of Main Street so that the Castle is directly in front of us as we watch the parade. The review is that the second parade is usually less crowded but it is recommended to watch both just in case you enjoy it so much you can’t go back in time to watch the first.

– Holiday Wishes Fireworks (9.30pm)

One of the highlights of the night is the fireworks show, Holiday Wishes. Holiday Wishes is amazing in its ability to thematically incorporate fireworks so they fit not only the name of the show, but more importantly, with the accompanying song lyrics.
– A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas Show (7.45pm, 8.45pm, 9.55pm, 10.50pm, 11.45pm)
A holiday-themed stage show that involves characters from Tomorrowland attractions. Stitch, Buzz Lightyear, and Mike Wazowski join a singing host and cast of dancers to entertain guests with holiday songs. This occurs around a loose story line about Stitch’s efforts to bring Santa Claus to the show.
– Celebrate The Season Show (7.45pm, 10.05pm, 11.20pm)

Celebrate the Season is a really fun show. The main attraction here is seeing all of the characters, dressed up in interesting costumes, acting oddly and dancing.
– Meet and greet opportunities with Disney Characters
If you want to meet all of the characters at the Party, this is one area where you might want to employ a bit of strategy. First, get in line early (prior to 7 pm) for the Seven Dwarfs. It’s unclear where they’ll be appearing this year, but we expect them to be in New Fantasyland near the walls the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (unless it soft opens early).
As long as you visit the Dwarfs early before a line accumulates, you should be fine. The stars of the party, the Country Bears, rarely attract crowds as they wander the parks.
You can meet Belle at Enchanted Tales with Belle. You can also meet Rapunzel and Flynn, Aurora and Prince Phillip, Snow White and her prince at Princess Fairytale Hall. Aladdin and Abu, Jasmine and Genie will be at Agrabah Bazaar at Adventureland.
Mickey & Minnie are most accessible near the very end of the party, however, there can be small “rushes” on them as guests decide to visit them on their way out of the park. Keep this in mind when contemplating when you should visit them and Santa Claus.
– Character Dance Parties (7pm- 12am)

There are typically two of these, the better of which is in the old Golden Horseshoe building called Woody’s Hootin’ Holiday Round-Up. If it’s a cold night, this is a great place to go inside and warm up for a bit, plus the lines for hot cocoa and cookies are usually fairly short here. The Golden Horseshoe looks great decked out for Christmas.
The other dance party is at Club Tinsel at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe.
– Complimentary cookies and hot cocoa at various stations throughout the park:
- The Crystal Palace: 9:00-11:00 pm
- Sunshine Tree Terrace: 7:00pm-12:00am
- Columbia Harbour House: 7:00pm-12:00am
- Pinocchio Village Haus: 7:00-10:30pm
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe: 8:00pm-12:00am
– Magical snow fall on Main Street

From what we understand, this isn’t “real” snow, but it sure does look like it! Children and adults alike watch in amazement as the flurry snowflakes fall on dry pavement in Florida. This is really a special sight, and between this, the wonderful music, and the decorations, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party really does have that Christmas feeling!
