We are currently 73 22 3 days out and there are still a couple of things that we have yet to do.

Since ZA’s work commitment will be heavy towards the mid to end November as he tries to clear as much as he can before our trip, it will be good if we can get all things ready by end October, after Jarod’s year end exams. In between, there will still be Ashley’s K2 graduation concert, P1 orientation, getting books, uniforms etc for school next year and an upcoming piano concert end November. As for Jarod, he has to finish all his holiday homework/projects, attend the VELOCI-T (Victoria Enhanced Leadership Outdoor Camp Instructor Training) and a Prefect camp. We also have to get ready his books and he will be changing to white long pants as he promotes to S3. All these will keep us very much occupied and thus the countdown bearable.

These are the things currently in our list:

1. Apply for ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/

Singaporeans travelling under the visa waiver program are required to apply for ESTA prior to departure.

2. Buy luggages. There are strict restrictions on luggage weight and dimensions for travelling to USA. The total dimension must not exceed 158cm and weight 23kg. In addition, the luggages should have TSA lock. Currently, we only have one 26″ luggage with TSA lock. So, we will need to get at least 2 more.

3. Buy a GPS with USA map.

4. Buy SD cards.

5. Buy travel adaptors. They are always missing when you need them.

6. Pay off the balance due for our Disney stay package before 45 day before 28 October.

7. Make reservation for dinner at Hard Rock Cafe for 5 Dec 2013.

8. Make reservation for Dinner at Sharks Underwater Grille. (Seaworld) for 6 Dec 2013.

9. Make reservation for Lombard’s Cinematic Spectacular Package for 7 Dec 2013.

10. Make dinner reservation for Fogo De Chao for 8 Dec 2013.

11. Book Spirit of the Swamp Airboat Tour for 11.30am, 10 Dec 2013.

12. Purchase Tickets to The Medieval Times Dinner Show on 10 Dec 203. Hoping that a promotion comes up soon.

13. Book La Nouba Cirque Du Soleil for 11 Dec 2013. The new promotion valid for December dates has just become available. Will book it soon.

14. Make Reservation for Tomorrowland’s Terrace Dessert Party on 14 Dec 2013. Reservations likely to be opened end September.

15. Book Golf for 16 and 20 Dec for ZA and Jarod. ZA is happy that he will get to play at the all new signature Arnold Palmer Palm Course which will open in November. He will choose either Magnolia Course or Lake Beuna Vista Course, both of which are award winning course.

16. Buy tickets to watch Radio City Christmas Spectacular for 23 Dec 2013. Found a discount code, but looking for better offer.

17. Buy the Statue of Liberty ferry ticket with Crown access for 24 Dec 2013. Read that the tickets with Crown access sell out fast. Will prioritise this booking.

18. Book the horse drawn carriage ride with All Hitched Up drop off/pick up service to Crabby Bill’s St Cloud on 8 Dec 2013.

19. Buy tickets to the Big Apple Circus for 25 Dec 2013. Found a discount code!

20. We are contemplating ordering a stroller for Ashley to be delivered to the hotel. We are afraid that the huge parks will tire Ashley out and  she can rest in it while waiting in queue.

 

21. Make sure our ATM and Credit Cards can work overseas.
