Ashley’s 7th Birthday Party – 1st May 2014
The day that Ashley has been eagerly waiting for is finally here! She will be celebrating her 7th birthday today.
We made our way to Smiling Orchid to collect the birthday cake. Ashley was beaming with delight when she saw the cake, exactly how she wished it to be. After collecting the preordered sandwiches and pastries, we made our way to The Tiara Society.
When we reached The Tiara Society, we were delighted that there was no party prior to ours and the place was ready for Ashley’s party. There were 2 balloon bouquets with a Frozen theme foil balloon and a programme sheet nicely displayed on a stand. We wasted no time and began to set up the dessert table. I was extremely pleased with the result of the dessert table, having spent quite some time preparing it.
Soon, the guests started to arrive and the party began. The guests were requested to write birthday greetings on a poster. Next, they chose a tiara to put on each and off they go to the changing room. Ashley soon emerged dressed as Queen Elsa, with matching sparkling tiara, ear rings and necklace. The girls were also transformed into princesses, each in different outfits. The party hosts then put on make-up for the girls and also did their nails. The girls surely felt pampered with these treatment.
After the princesses were dolled up, they did some princess activities like tiara making and in line with the Frozen theme, they also made some Frozen puppets. They also had fun with free play especially at the carriage. Soon, it was time for some princess games and dancing. The princesses gathered and sang ‘Let It Go’ with the microphone passed around. It was really fun watching them sing with so much emotion. The parents joked that the girls probably know this song better than our National Anthem. After which, they did some dancing and played Limbo Rock.
Soon, it was cake cutting time. The princesses gathered and sang Ashley the birthday song. A pity we did not manage a family photo before she changed out of the Elsa outfit. We did manage one after she changed back into her own Anna costume. The Royal Banquet followed and the princesses were served pizzas, sandwiches, fries, macaroons and fruits while the parents mingled outside. As the party comes to an end, the girls were happy to go back with a doll each, either Elsa or Anna, decided by a ‘lucky draw’. Ashley had lots of fun and sure hope the guests did too!
