Danang Day 5
This would be the lazy, laid back resting day of the trip. We travelled once again to the breakfast that is provided free of charge, and got our fill of early food and coffee. Seeing as we didn’t have anything planned for the day ahead, we then went back to the room. We then changed into our swimwear and lazed around in our private pool for an extended period of time. After this, we decided that we were still all pretty full, so we didn’t know what to do exactly for our lunch plans. In the end, we decided that it was best that we simply skipped going for lunch altogether, and go for an early dinner. We booked transport to the other floating restaurant, which was called Be Than. After this, we took some well needed time to laze around in the room and catch up on some rest, which was really nice.
Soon, it was time for dinner and we headed off to the lobby. Our transport had arrived early and we were soon on our way to the floating restaurant. This was also more than 22 kilometers away due to our hotel being in such an obscure and “ulu” location. However, we were soon at the location, and we were treated with similar sights as the ones we saw at Viet Long, the other restaurant. Here, most of the food was cheaper and there was a greater choice of food available, from various sizes of shrimp to many types of fish to choose from, there was a great freedom of choice when it came to the choosing of the dishes that we we wanted to eat.
Soon, we were decided and we went to take our seats. We ordered a great deal of seafood as we were all pretty hungry as we all skipped lunch for this heavy dinner. We were able to enjoy an amazing sunset when we started eating, and we were extremely satisfied with all the food that was prepared. The seafood was extremely fresh and tasty. However, I think I preferred the noodles from Viet Long instead. One interesting fact is that “one bowl of rice” has a completely different meaning in Vietnam. The portion was actually huge and all of us could share this huge portion of rice that was given to us. The food was satisfying, and not forgetting our troubles from last night, we decided to get some drinks from the restaurant instead. Soon, we were on our way back to the hotel, which also takes quite a long period of time considering this was one of the closest eateries outside the resort.
Back in the room, we were given our basket of cookies, which were not chocolate, but instead of the butter variety this time. These cookies were even nicer, and we all had our sweet tooth satisfied going off to bed tonight. Tomorrow would be the last day of this vacation, and it would be back to reality for all of us.
