Danang Day 4
This would be a more activity-filled day of our Vietnam trip. This would be the fourth day of our trip, and we were looking forward to a more action filled day, with us booking some sea activities on the day. We first headed to the complimentary buffet breakfast with another refreshed line-up of food, before we started doing any activities. We had our fill of food at the breakfast before we headed to the Sea Sports Centre. Although the activity area was a short walk away from our hotel room, we were not initially sure on where it was, so we took a long detour on a buggy ride to the Sea Sports Centre.
When we arrived, my dad and I took the opportunity to take a Jet Ski ride around the bay which was right on the cusp of the South China Sea. Funnily enough, the sea was extremely calm, which allowed me to enjoy my first experience using an actual Jet Ski, which was nice. We booked a 30 minute session, where we would just cruise around the beach section of the resort. Although there wasn’t much to look at, it was an intriguing and highly insightful experience as well, and I had loads of fun. After this, we decided to do some Kayaking as well, which led to me capsizing three times on extremely calm waters. Needless to say, it was pretty embarrassing, although I took it for it’s funny side. Before we headed out for lunch, we took a short break in the private pool of our room before heading off for lunch yet again.
For lunch, we wanted to go to Banyan Tree to try out yet another eatery. This time however, we decided to take the boat which ran between the two resorts. This was a boat service that ran every thirty minutes, and after a short period of time, we were on our way to the Banyan Tree Resort. The boat ride was calm, and we were the only ones on the boat. It seemed to be a reoccurring theme that there were not many people in the resort itself, which made the illusion stronger that we had the whole place to ourselves.
Soon however, we were back at the Banyan Tree, and headed off for our lunch. We headed to Azura, a beachfront eatery which was open-air and served mainly Italian styled offerings. This was a good place to eat as the prices were reasonable and the food was good. I had a share of Penne Melazane Con Mozerella, Ashley had the Penne Carbonara and Mom&Dad shared a Fungi Pizza. We also shared some fries for a starter and we left happily. We decided to not take the boat, and then headed back to the room for a short break before going out again for dinner.
(ZA : Before dinner, Ashley went to join Rock Painting Activity in the Kids Club)
For Dinner, we originally planned to eat at the Moomba, but we discovered that it was booked for an event that night. We then decided to fight our hunger away and just stay on for our Karaoke booking later that night. This seemed like a good plan for all but five minutes, when we discovered that our booking had not been registered after all. Defeated, we decided to wait it out at the resort, before finally heading to the Moomba after the event and having dinner there. By the time we were at the Moomba, it was quite late, and one of the early Euro 2016 matches were already playing. We ordered some Fried Rice, a Chicken Noodle Soup and a Seafood platter to share, and we left happily. We even got some Vietnamese Iced Coffee back to the room! What a day this has been, and we relinquished the rest we were going to get when we returned and tucked in for the night.
